Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is included among the best pediatric hospitals in the US for 2022–2023 on the U.S. List of Best Children's Hospitals from News & World Report. Children's has four specializations that are among the top 10 and eight that are among the top 20.

The top 20 programs for each specialty included the Cancer Program (ranked No. 7), Gastroenterology and GI Surgery Program (ranked No. 7), Nephrology Program (ranked No. 9), Urology Program (ranked No. 10), Orthopaedics Program (ranked No. 11), Neurology and Neurosurgery Program (ranked No. 11), Pulmonology and Lung Surgery Program (ranked No. 16), and Cardiology and Heart Surgery Program (ranked No. 18).

The survey questions were developed and fine-tuned by subject matter experts in each area, and the study rates hospitals based on their excellence in results, program structure, and national reputation in 10 pediatric specialist areas. In each of the 10 specialized areas, Children's rated.

The 2022 edition of "Best Children's Hospitals" will be printed in the United States and is available online at usnews.com/childrenshospitals. A handbook titled News Best Hospitals 2023 will be made available later this autumn. "Best Children's Facilities" compiles clinical and administrative information from a thorough survey that was completed by 119 hospitals.
